Disclosure: we sell this. Marketlube runs marketing for academies and coaching centres in Kerala as one team: the creatives and videos, the website and landing pages, Meta and Google ads, SEO, and the CRM the enquiries land in, Xale (opens in a new tab), built by the team behind Marketlube. Our one tuition case study so far is Zealous Learning, one-to-one tuition for classes 5 to 12 marketed to parents; we haven't published a coaching centre case study yet, so most examples below come from the academies and schools we have published.
In Kerala, almost every ambition has an academy: entrance and PSC coaching, OET and German for nurses heading abroad, ACCA, aviation and logistics courses. Each sells a batch with a start date, and most buy their marketing in pieces: a designer for posters, a videographer for reels, an agency for Meta, a website built years ago, and enquiries in a spreadsheet. Every piece can be good and the batch can still start half empty, because nobody owns the hand-offs. This is the plan we use to close them.
What do students and parents type when they look for a coaching centre?#
We read Google's autocomplete on 7 October 2026 (India settings), typing an exam or a kind of academy with a Kerala town. It shows what people type, not how many, but the patterns are plain.
So give every exam you teach its own page and every centre its own Google Business Profile, earn reviews that say something about teaching and results, and put a phone number and a WhatsApp button in the first screen, because the "contact number" searches come from people ready to call. Our guide to SEO for educational institutions covers how to build those pages.
Why does marketing bought in pieces leak enquiries?#
Each vendor reports the number it controls: reach, clicks, cost per lead, rankings. None is a filled seat. The leaks happen between vendors, so every channel needs one job, one number and a named hand-off. This is the table we run for education clients.
That is why we sell the work as one team: when the person editing the video can see which ad filled the NEET repeat batch, the next video gets better for a reason. If you keep separate vendors, give one person the whole table and make every vendor answer to its last two rows.
What should your batch offer and your proof say?#
Sell the batch, not the brand. A student decides on the exam, the start date, the timings, the mode (classroom, online or with hostel), the fee with its instalments and a way to try before paying. Put all six in every ad, page and WhatsApp reply, and make the first step small: a demo class, a free mock test or a scholarship test.
The offer matters more than the targeting. When we ran Meta ads for VONA School of Design, a new design school in Calicut, we also helped it strengthen its offer with GCC placements for students who enrol, and "GCC" is on screen within the first seven seconds of both ads. Our team reports 50+ admissions from ₹1.5 lakh of Meta ad spend in that 45-day sprint.
Three rules shape your proof:
- Results claims. The consumer protection authority's 2024 guidelines for coaching ads ban false rank and selection claims, and a topper's name or photo needs their written consent after the result, with their rank and the course they actually took shown beside it. Our 90-day admission plan has a table of risky claims and safer wording.
- The Ministry of Education's 2024 guidelines for coaching centres say a centre shouldn't enrol students below 16 or promise ranks or marks, and should keep a website with its tutors' qualifications, courses, duration, hostel facilities and fees, as Careers360 reported (opens in a new tab) on 18 January 2024. States decide how to regulate coaching, so check Kerala's position first.
- Ads to under-18s. Meta lets advertisers reach teens by age and location only (opens in a new tab), and from 13 May 2027 India's data protection law bars targeted advertising directed at children (our DPDP checklist has the detail). For school-age students, make their parents the audience.
Which videos fill a batch?#
Faculty-led video, mostly. A teacher who explains the exam pattern in 45 seconds, in Malayalam with the exam terms in English, builds more trust than any poster, and your teachers are the one asset a rival can't copy.
- One question per video, asked in the first second: "PSC prelims or mains: which first?", "How long does OET take to prepare?"
- A series that follows the exam calendar: syllabus explainers months ahead, last-30-days plans before the exam, result-day guidance after it.
- Captions for sound-off viewing in a vertical frame, and students on camera only with consent, from a parent when they are under 18.
- Your best organic videos become your ads: the one that earned saves and shares is the first to put money behind.
TasHeel Moral Academy, an online academy, grew its Instagram on Malayalam reels. Our team reports setting its strategy and managing its social media from about 300 followers; Instagram's public count was 39,064 on 29 September 2026. VONA's ads were presenter-led vertical videos with captions that work with the sound off. Making these is our video production work for education clients.
How should Meta and Google ads split the work?#
Meta finds people before they search; Google catches them when they do.
Meta and Instagram carry the faculty videos to students and, in separate ads, to parents, including parents in the Gulf, who often pay the fee. Lead forms should ask for the exam, the year, the centre, the batch and who is filling in the form, so the first call starts in the right place. Xale turns each answer on the form into a field a counsellor can filter on, as xale.in describes it (opens in a new tab). In Clarix Education's 2026 season, its Meta lead ads brought 1,466 lead-form enquiries at ₹262 each on the ads that brought them in (Meta's count); our education marketing case studies show what moved that number.
For Zealous Learning, three hook videos launched for its tuition centres on 5 September 2026, on almost the same budget, brought 227, 198 and 38 enquiries in a month, at ₹36.74, ₹42.65 and ₹215.23 each (Meta's count): test the opening before you raise the budget. Its case study shows the reels and the rest of the test.
Google Search ads go on the exam-and-town searches above, and on your own name, so a rival's ad doesn't sit above yours. Each ad group points to the page for its batch, never the home page. For DiYES International School, the Google Search ads for school tours and admissions point to the admissions page we built, as Google's Ads Transparency Center showed on 29 September 2026. We haven't published Google Ads results for an education client, so we quote none.
Timing: start before the results and exam dates, not after; our education marketing calendar maps the 2027 season. How we run both platforms is on our performance marketing page.
What should a batch page show?#
One page per batch or exam, matched to the ad that sends people to it, answering in this order: what the batch prepares for and who it suits; the start date, timings, duration and mode; the fee, the instalments and the refund terms; the faculty and their qualifications; results you can back up, with the disclosures the rules ask for; hostel or transport; and the first step, a demo class or a free test.
Keep the form to four fields (the exam, a name, a phone number and whether a student or a parent is filling it in), with WhatsApp and call buttons within reach on a phone. On the admissions page we built for DiYES International School, a link from the early-years campaign opens on its own headline with that grade already chosen in the form, and every enquiry reaches the school's CRM tagged with its grade and campaign. Our landing page checklist has the full list, and our web development page shows how we build them.
How do search and Business Profiles keep enquiries coming?#
Paid ads stop the day the budget does; search keeps working between batches.
- A page for each exam and town you serve, with fees, dates and faculty in plain text.
- A Google Business Profile for every centre, with the exams in the description, real photos of classrooms and the hostel, the right hours and a phone number someone answers.
- Reviews you ask for neutrally and answer, including the critical ones. Google's policy prohibits reviews paid for, directly or in kind (opens in a new tab), so never trade a discount for one.
Our Calicut map pack guide explains how profiles earn local results; our SEO page shows how we run it.
Where should every enquiry go?#
Into one CRM, the moment it arrives, with an owner, a stage and a next step. Families ask several centres at once, so the first useful conversation often decides. Our guide to converting enquiries into admissions sets out a WhatsApp-first routine for students who don't answer unknown numbers. Xale keeps those chats on the enquiry, in one inbox scoped to each counsellor's role, as its WhatsApp page for education teams (opens in a new tab) describes.
Several of our education clients have worked their enquiries in Xale, the CRM built by the team behind Marketlube. Xale reports 10,000+ new leads captured every month and 150+ user seats in its largest single workspace (Xale's platform figures (opens in a new tab), September 2026). VONA's leads were managed in it, as our team reports, and Clarix's team works its leads in it, as reported by Xale. For academies, xale.in describes an Academy template (read on 7 October 2026): a pipeline from enquiry to enrolment, a fee for each level, format or timing of a programme, a separate follow-up for the telecaller, the counsellor and the trainer who takes the demo class, instalment reminders with payment links, and Xale AI, which answers questions about your own data in Malayalam or English.
In our founder's own Google search on 7 October 2026, Xale's academy CRM page (opens in a new tab) was on the first page for "best academy crm", the first result after the sponsored one.
(opens the full-size image in a new tab)Our founder's own Google search for “best academy crm”, 7 October 2026, 15:34 IST, cropped from the search box to Xale's result. Scrolled a little, and signed-in results differ by person, place and day: it shows the first page, not a position.
Xale is made by Xale Private Limited, co-founded by Marketlube's two co-founders with Arjun CV, so read this as our recommendation, not a neutral review; the Xale case study lists its other rankings, each with its label. If you already run Zoho, HubSpot or another CRM, the same rules apply, and our CRM development team can connect your ads and forms to it.
How do you know the plan is working?#
Read one sheet every week, for each batch:
Cost per enquiry tells you where to look. Cost per enrolment tells you what worked.
Frequently asked questions#
Does a coaching centre need a website if it is busy on Instagram?#
Yes. Google ads need a page to send each search to, pages for each exam and town are how a centre is found in search between campaigns, and the Ministry of Education's 2024 guidelines expect a coaching centre's website to show its tutors' qualifications, courses, duration, hostel facilities and fees. Instagram is often where a student meets you first; the website is where a parent checks the details.
Can coaching centres enrol or advertise to students under 16?#
The Ministry of Education's 2024 guidelines say coaching centres shouldn't enrol students below 16, with enrolment after the secondary school examination, and leave regulation to each state. Meta lets advertisers reach users under 18 by age and location only, and from 13 May 2027 India's data protection law bars targeted advertising directed at children, so campaigns for younger students are aimed at their parents.
What is a demo class funnel?#
The path from an ad to a trial class to an enrolment. The ad offers a demo class for a named batch, the page books a slot, WhatsApp confirms it and sends a reminder, a counsellor follows up on the day the student attends, and the CRM records whether they enrolled. It works because a student who has sat in one of your classes is choosing a teacher, not reacting to an ad.
Start with the next batch#
Pick the next batch and write its numbers down: seats, fee, start date and what you can afford to spend to fill one seat. Then build the video, the ads, the page and the follow-up around that batch before you widen the plan. If you'd like one team to run all of it, see how we work with schools, colleges and academies in Kerala, or tell us about your next batch.
Changelog#
- 2026-10-08: Added our first tuition case study, Zealous Learning: the disclosure now names it, and the Meta ads section quotes its hook test (227, 198 and 38 enquiries at ₹36.74, ₹42.65 and ₹215.23 each, Meta's count).
- 2026-10-12: Linked xale.in from three places: Xale's academy page from the disclosure, and one sentence each on how Xale stores a lead form's answers and keeps WhatsApp chats on the enquiry, as xale.in describes it. Xale's figures now read as xale.in publishes them today (its fact sheet, read 12 October 2026): 10,000+ new leads captured every month and 150+ user seats in its largest single workspace (Platform figures, September 2026). The older user and lead totals are gone, because xale.in no longer publishes them.
