Kerala, decoded.

Kerala is one state that behaves like several markets. A furniture brand in Kochi, a clinic in Malappuram and a resort in Wayanad share a language and a love of Instagram, but they sell to very different people on very different calendars. And a large slice of their customers live in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh.

Read the full Kerala brief

Buyers here research on Instagram and YouTube, ask questions on WhatsApp, read Google reviews and then decide in person or on a call. Word of mouth still moves money: a neighbour's recommendation, a family WhatsApp group, a cousin home from the Gulf. Marketing that works in Kerala earns trust at every one of those steps, not just a click at the first.

That is the work we do from Calicut. We write hooks and scripts in Malayalam, English and the Manglish most people actually speak, shoot vertical video for Reels and Shorts, and send click-to-WhatsApp enquiries straight into a CRM so none vanish into a salesperson's phone. Our Kerala work ranges from Kursii's seating identity and Proteinuts' packaging and online store to Skymark Education's reels and Big Deals' property feed.

Because so many Kerala families earn in dirhams and riyals, we often run two audiences for one brand: people at home, and Keralites across the GCC. A villa launch, a bridal jewellery collection or a school admission drive can find its buyer in Sharjah as easily as in Thrissur. The targeting, timing and creative just have to change.

Onam to Karkidakam

Onam in Chingam (August–September) is the state's biggest buying season for textiles, gold, furniture and electronics, with Vishu in April close behind. Karkidakam, the monsoon month before it, is traditionally quiet for weddings, housewarmings and big purchases, but it's peak season for Ayurveda packages. Christmas weighs most in central Kerala, Ramzan and Eid in Malabar. We book shoots weeks ahead of each.

Malayalam, English, Manglish

Language changes cost per lead here. We test Malayalam, English and mixed-language hooks side by side on the same audience, write captions the way people actually text, and cast voices that fit the region you sell in. An ad for Malabar and an ad for Travancore shouldn't sound the same.

Rupee budgets, WhatsApp endings

Kerala media usually costs less per impression than Mumbai or Bengaluru, but audiences are smaller and tire of an ad sooner, so creative refresh matters more than raw spend. Most lead campaigns start from ₹50,000 a month in media. Nearly every journey ends in a WhatsApp chat, so we route those chats into a CRM and report cost per real conversation, not per click.

Why Kerala brands pick us.

We work as a growth partner, not a supplier: one Calicut team for strategy, creative, media and software, with every rupee you spend planned against the number that matters to you, whether that's enquiries, sales or cost per lead.

  • An office you can visit

We're at HiLITE Business Park in Calicut. Clients across Malabar drop in for reviews; for Kochi, Thrissur and Trivandrum we travel down for kick-offs and shoots.

  • Every discipline, one floor

Strategy, design, video, web development and media buying sit in the same office, so the person editing your reel is a few desks from the person spending your budget.

  • Numbers you can check

Tracking goes live before spend does. Reports show cost per lead, cost per sale and revenue wherever we can see it, never just follower counts.

  • Both sides of the Arabian Sea

We market to Keralites at home and across the GCC, with separate audiences, timing and creative for each. It all runs from one team, in one account you own.

Calicut · Kochi · Wayanad

Where is Marketlube based in Kerala?

Our office is at P1, 4th Floor, HiLITE Business Park, Calicut (Kozhikode). We serve brands across Kerala: clients in Malabar usually visit us, and we travel to Kochi, Thrissur and Trivandrum for kick-offs, shoots and quarterly reviews.

Do you create Malayalam content?

Yes. We produce scripts, captions, ad copy and voice-overs in Malayalam, English or a mix of both, depending on who you sell to. We test languages against each other in live campaigns rather than guessing, because the right language can change your cost per lead noticeably.

How much should a Kerala business budget for digital marketing?

Plan two lines: media and management. Most lead-generation campaigns in Kerala need at least ₹50,000 a month in ad spend to give Meta and Google enough data to optimise. Our management fee is a flat monthly retainer based on scope, never a percentage of spend, and branding, websites and CRMs are quoted as fixed-price projects.

What do real estate ads in Kerala need to include?

K-RERA requires registered projects to show the RERA registration number, the authority's website address and the project's QR code on every advertisement, from newspapers, brochures and hoardings to websites and social media posts. We build all three into property creatives from the first draft.

Can you reach Keralites living in the Gulf?

Yes, and for many Kerala businesses that's where a big share of buyers live. We run separate campaigns for non-resident Keralites in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, scheduled for Gulf hours and weighted towards the months families fly home: the summer school holidays and December.
