The problem
Where restaurants & cafés marketing leaks.
Four problems we plan around before a single rupee or dirham goes into media.
Weekends full, weeknights empty
Friday and Sunday look after themselves. Tuesday dinner, weekday lunch and the monsoon months are where margins are won or lost, and generic 'visit us' posts don't move them.
Delivery apps own your customer
Swiggy and Zomato in Kerala, Talabat and Deliveroo in the Gulf bring volume at commissions that typically run 20–30% of the bill, and the customer's number stays with the app.
Discovery happens on the map and the reel
Diners choose from Google Maps, food-blogger reels and 'near me' lists. A 4.1 rating with stale photos loses to a 4.6 with last week's dishes, whatever the food tastes like.
Seasons swing the whole business
Each season needs its own offer, creative and timing, from Ramadan iftars and late nights to Onam sadya pre-orders, Christmas cakes and the Gulf summer, when expat families fly home.
The fix
What we do about it.
Each fix maps to a service we run in-house in Calicut for restaurant and café brands in Kerala, across India and in the GCC.

Restaurants & cafés marketing, answered.
Neighbouring industries
How much does restaurant social media management cost?
For a single outlet in Kerala, most plans fall between ₹25,000 and ₹60,000 a month for content and management, with shoot days and a small ad budget on top. Multi-outlet brands and Gulf restaurants typically start from AED 3,500 a month. You get a fixed monthly scope in writing before we start.
Should we work with food bloggers and influencers?
Yes, selectively. Kerala's food-creator scene can fill a new café in a weekend, but we pick creators by local audience and saves, not follower count, and brief them on one dish. In the UAE, anyone publishing paid or gifted promotions needs an Advertiser Permit from the UAE Media Council, so we check permits before booking.
How do we reduce our dependence on Swiggy and Zomato?
Don't leave. Shift the repeat orders. Keep the apps for discovery, then use dine-in and takeaway guests, WhatsApp opt-ins and a direct ordering link to bring regulars to your own channel, where there's no commission and you keep the relationship. The same playbook works alongside Talabat and Deliveroo in the Gulf.
What's the busiest season to market a restaurant in Kerala?
For many Malabar restaurants it's Ramadan, which moves about 11 days earlier each year and brings iftar specials, late-night menus and catering. Then Onam, Christmas and New Year, and the summer and December weeks when Gulf families are home. The monsoon usually needs a delivery and comfort-food push instead.
Do you design menus, signage and packaging too?
Yes. Branding, menus, signage and takeaway packaging are done in-house, with bilingual English–Arabic layouts for GCC outlets. Chains in India also need menus that follow FSSAI display rules, such as calorie counts for brands with ten or more outlets.
