A bilingual English–Arabic identity for a Gulf tea café.

Tea Today flame-drop logo glowing beside a cup of tea
Overview
Tea Today is a tea café brand for the Gulf. We designed a mark that fuses a teapot, a drop of tea and a flame, paired it with matching English and Arabic wordmarks, and built a warm orange system around it.
The brief
Tea cafés compete on streets full of bright signs, and many of them look interchangeable. Tea Today needed a mark that says 'fresh, hot tea' at a glance and a colour customers would remember.

The identity had to work equally well in English and Arabic, and scale from a blade sign on a shopfront to a cup lid, a delivery box and an Instagram avatar.

How we approached it
From sketch to symbol
The mark began as a pencil sketch and was refined over three stages into a teapot silhouette holding a drop of tea, with rippling lines for the brew and a flame-like sweep for heat.
Two scripts, one voice
A customised English wordmark with a playful accent over the 'a', and an Arabic wordmark (تي تودي) drawn to sit at the same weight and warmth.
Own the orange
One saturated orange as the brand's signature, with the mark reversed out in white and a dark variant for night-time and premium use.
Built to repeat
The mark and its wave lines tile into a pattern for wraps and signage, and the logo sits in a roundel for blade signs and cups.
The outcome
A complete bilingual identity ready to roll out across Tea Today's cafés and packaging, covering the logo mark, English and Arabic wordmarks, colour system, pattern and shopfront signage.
