Study abroad. Study abroad marketing in Kerala for overseas education and admission consultancies

Marketlube is a study abroad digital marketing agency in Calicut for consultancies across Kerala: the overseas education firms that send students abroad and the admission consultants who guide them at home. One team makes the reels, runs the Meta and Google ads, builds the destination pages and sets up the counselling CRM, each timed to the intake you are selling. Our work includes Skymark Education, a study abroad consultancy with six offices across Kerala, and Clarix Education, a college-guidance consultancy in Kochi and Calicut.

This page is for owners and marketing heads of study abroad and admission consultancies, and it is one part of our education marketing work. We market consultancies; we don't place students or teach marketing courses.

How do Kerala families choose a consultancy?

Slowly, and together, in our experience. The student usually starts, watching reels about countries, courses, costs and visas for months before a first call. A parent, often one working in the Gulf, pays the fees and wants to meet a counsellor before anything is signed.

The word “consultancy” works against you on its own. When we checked Google's suggestions on 8 October 2026, “consultancy in kerala” completed first to “for abroad jobs”, and the education meaning came later. That is why every ad and page we write for you says “study abroad” in its first line and names the country: a family looking for an overseas job agency scrolls past, and a student planning a degree stops.

And a cheap lead is not the goal. What matters to a consultancy is how many students sit down with a counsellor and how many files get opened, so that is what we report on, every week.

What does our digital marketing for study abroad consultants cover?

Everything from the first reel to the counselling desk, run by one team in Calicut, so the reel, the ad, the page and the counsellor tell a family the same thing.

  • Video Production

    A video engine

Short videos that each answer one student question, with the question on screen in the first second: a country, a course, a cost or a visa step. Presenters talk to camera in Malayalam, with course and country names in English.

  • Social Media Marketing

    Social creatives

Posters, carousels and stories for every intake, scholarship and deadline, in the same look as the reels, so a family recognises you before they read the name.

  • Performance Marketing

    Meta and Google ads

Lead forms and chat ads on Meta, with students and parents in separate ads, and Google Search ads for a country and a course searched from a Kerala town. We plan the budget per destination and per intake.

  • SEO & AI Search

    Destination and course pages

A page for each country and each course you place students in, with costs, entry requirements and a “last checked” date, so enquiries keep coming in the weeks the ads are paused.

  • Web Design & Development

A website for the whole family

A site a parent working in Dubai or Doha can use on a phone: who you are, which countries you cover, your offices and counsellors, and one way to book a session.

  • Video Production

    Seminars and conclaves

Video before an event to fill the room, and after it to show the room to everyone who missed it, as we did for Skymark's Abroad Edu Conclave.

  • CRM Development

    A counselling CRM

Every enquiry in one place with an owner and a next step, in Xale or the CRM you already use, and one record per student with a track for each university application.

What has this looked like for Skymark and Clarix?

Skymark sends students abroad; Clarix guides them to colleges in India. Both sell a decision a family has to trust, which is why the work looks alike. Every figure carries a label saying who measured it.

We make its video and social media creatives, more than 60 videos a month, and run its Meta ads, with over ₹15 lakh of Meta ad spend behind them, as our team reports. We made the promo reel and an event film for its Abroad Edu Conclave, and designed skymark.in. Our team built a CRM for Skymark Education (reported by our team). Building it for a large consultancy gave us the research, the product thinking and the automation know-how that later helped us build a bigger product, Xale. Skymark moved onto Xale in March 2026, as xale.in's story of the move tells it.

Xale is the CRM built by the team behind Marketlube: 10,000+ new leads captured every month and 150+ user seats in its largest single workspace (Xale's platform figures, September 2026). On Google, searched from Kerala on 2 October 2026, xale.in was on the first page for “best study abroad industry crm” (our screenshot).

What will it cost, and how will we know it's working?

Two costs, kept apart. The media budget goes to Meta and Google, planned per destination and per intake, with a share held back for the weeks before deadlines, when enquiries get dearer. In Clarix's admission season, an enquiry from a lead-form ad launched in February cost ₹120, and one from an ad launched in May ₹374 (Meta's count, on the ads that brought enquiries in). Our fee is separate, agreed after a call, and never mixed into the media figures.

You'll know it's working from a weekly report in the terms a consultancy runs on: enquiries, counselling sessions booked and files opened, by destination and campaign, each with its cost. Cost per lead tells us where to look; cost per counselling session and per file opened tell us what worked.

For the dates, our education marketing calendar maps Kerala's season; for strategy country by country, see our education consultancy marketing guide; and for running intakes in a CRM, Xale's guide to intake season planning.

Will our ads stay within the visa and claims rules?

Yes: nothing runs until it passes. We hold every ad to the standard ASCI sets for education advertising: no promised admission, job or salary that can't be proved, no “100%” claims about things nobody can measure, and results only from the latest completed academic year.

Visa rules change by country and by date, so every visa fact in an ad or on a page carries the date we last checked it. And if you run IELTS or language classes, their ads also fall under the consumer authority's 2024 coaching guidelines. Our education consultancy marketing guide sets out the rules with their sources, and a table of risky claims with safer wording.

Which CRM will our counsellors work in?

Yours, or Xale. Xale is the CRM built by the team behind Marketlube, so we say so: one record per student, a separate track for each university application, and Meta lead forms and WhatsApp coming straight in. If your team already works in another CRM, we connect your forms and ads to it instead, and the weekly report stays the same.

Follow-up cadences, old leads and the questions a lead form should ask are covered on Xale's own site, so we don't repeat them here: start with Xale's page for study abroad teams.

Questions consultancies ask us

What does a study-abroad consultancy spend on ads?

Most start between ₹60,000 and ₹1.5 lakh a month in media for two or three destination countries, plus a flat management fee. Cost per lead swings widely by country and course, so we report cost per counselling session and per file opened. Those are the numbers that actually drive revenue.

How early should we start marketing for an intake?

Six to nine months before it: that is the lead window we plan before each study abroad intake. Families take months to decide, and in the accounts we run, enquiries cost more as deadlines close in. Deadlines differ by country and course, so check each one's official dates; our education marketing calendar maps Kerala's own season.

Do you work with admission and career-guidance consultancies too?

Yes. Clarix Education, which helps Class 12 students and their parents choose a college, a course and a career in India, is one of them; its case study shows the Meta ads, the website and the search work. The job is much the same as for study abroad: one family decision, a counsellor and a season to time it to.

Do we have to move our leads to Xale?

No. Xale is the CRM built by the team behind Marketlube, and Skymark and Clarix both work in it, but we can connect your ads and forms to the CRM you already use and report from there. If you are still choosing one, Xale's ten-step guide shows what to test before you sign.

Can you also market our IELTS or language classes?

Yes. A language class sells like a batch, with a start date, a test date and a fee, so its campaigns run to those dates. Those ads also fall under the consumer authority's 2024 coaching guidelines, which count tuition as coaching and apply to anyone who coaches, not only to centres with more than fifty students: no guaranteed scores or selections, and a student's name or photo only with written consent taken after their result. We haven't published a case study for a language class yet.

Do you work with consultancies outside Kerala, or in the Gulf?

Yes, across India, from our office in Calicut. Many of the parents who pay work in the Gulf, so their campaigns run in Gulf evenings; our guide to targeting Gulf NRIs on Facebook and Instagram covers how. We don't have an office in the Gulf.

Not a consultancy? Our education marketing page covers schools, colleges, academies, training institutes and coaching centres.
