Dayyin Jewellers Jewellery website design for Manama, a concept build

We placed Dayyin Jewellers, an invented gold and pearl shop, in Manama Souq, and wrote its pieces, weights and morning gold rate as samples for the demo. The site is for families buying wedding gold, people weighing up pearls and anyone who wants to check a price before walking into the souk, so every piece carries a printed receipt with its karat, weight, gold value, making charge, VAT and total in Bahraini dinars. The receipts, the calculator, the compare drawer and the booking times all respond as you use them.

A concept build: Dayyin Jewellers is a fictional brand we created to show how we design and build a jewellery website for Manama. It is not a client and not a real company; our client work is on the work page.

Questions

What do buyers look for on a gold and pearl jeweller's website in Bahrain?

The rate per gram for each karat you sell, with the time it was set, and pieces that show their karat, weight and making charge rather than a single unexplained price. Add a plain section on natural and cultured pearls, your exchange and buy-back terms, and your souk location with opening hours. Finish with an easy way to book a visit or ask about a piece by its code.

Should a jewellery website show the making charge on each piece?

It helps buyers trust the price. Gold is priced from the rate per gram on the day, so a buyer can check the gold value but cannot judge the rest unless it is set out. Listing the karat, the weight, the gold value at the stated rate, the making charge and VAT as separate lines lets a family compare one shop with another and see where the difference lies.

How should a jewellery website in Bahrain explain natural and cultured pearls?

Plainly, and without promising what a photograph cannot show. Say that only a laboratory test can tell a natural pearl from a cultured one, explain how a buyer can ask for a test report, and label every pearl piece as one or the other. Pricing the pearls on their own line, apart from any gold in the setting, makes the difference easy to see.
