Every piece in our showroom carries its karat, its weight in grams and its making charge on separate lines, with VAT added before you reach the counter. No asking, no rounding.

Set on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 09:30 Bahrain time. We set the rate once each morning from the international gold price, converted to dinars, and it holds until we close. If the market moves sharply in the day, we reprint it here and in the shop with the new time.
Rates and prices in Bahraini dinars (BHD). 1 dinar = 1,000 fils.
Work out a piece before you come in.
Pick the karat, enter the weight from any tag or receipt, and the making charge per gram. The slip below prints the rest.

How a price is built
Three lines, then the total.
1
Gold value.
Weight in grams times today's rate for that karat. A 24.80 g bangle in 21K at BHD 42.400 is BHD 1,051.520.
2
Making charge.
The work: casting, chasing, setting, polishing. We print it per gram and as a total, on its own line, so you can compare it with any shop in the souk.
3
VAT.
Bahrain's standard VAT rate is 10%, from 1 January 2022. The slips on this page show it on the gold and the making charge together. Gold, jewellery, loose pearls and investment bars each follow the National Bureau for Revenue's rules, and your receipt shows exactly which lines were taxed.
VAT rate: National Bureau for Revenue, nbr.gov.bh. The sample slips are worked examples, not tax advice.

Bridal sets, priced piece by piece.
A full set is a big decision, usually made by three generations at once. We lay every piece of the set on the velvet, weigh each one separately and give you a receipt per piece, so the family can take the collar and earrings and leave the ring, or the other way round.
Rate lock. Pay 20% and we fix that morning's rate on the set for 30 days.
Private room. Bridal appointments are in a separate room with seating for eight, Saturday to Thursday.
Dazza planning. Tell us the budget in dinars and the pieces you need, and we prepare two or three sets at different weights to compare.
Bahrain's pearl banks were fished for centuries, and pearls are still at the heart of the souk. Both kinds are real pearls made by an oyster. The difference is how they started.
Natural and cultured pearls compared
Natural pearl
Cultured pearl
How it starts
An irritant enters the oyster by chance and the oyster coats it in nacre over years.
A person places a bead or tissue in the oyster, which then coats it in nacre.
Shape
Often slightly irregular; perfectly round ones are rare.
Can be very round and even, since the bead sets the shape.
How to tell
Not reliably by eye. Telling them apart needs laboratory X-ray examination.
The same: a laboratory test, not a look or a bite.
Price
Higher, set pearl by pearl.
Lower, often priced by the strand or the pair.
Our practice.
We label every pearl piece as natural or cultured as we bought it, and we say which on the receipt. We do not issue certificates on this site. If you want an independent report, take any pearl from us to a gem laboratory of your choice before you decide, and we will hold the piece for you for 7 days.

Unworn, with the receipt: exchange for any piece at the original gold value and making charge.
Old gold for new.
Any gold, from any shop. We test the karat and weigh it on the counter in front of you, then credit it at that morning's buying rate against a new piece.
Buy-back.
Dayyin pieces with the receipt: we buy back at that morning's buying rate for the karat. The making charge and VAT are not refunded, since the work and the tax were real.
Buying rates are set with the selling rates each morning and printed beside them in the shop. Bring a photo ID for any sale of gold to us.
