Shadd Athletic Club Gym website design for Salmiya, a concept build
Shadd Athletic Club is an imaginary strength and fitness club in Salmiya, Kuwait, with a men's floor, a separate ladies' floor and kids classes. Its coaches, classes and prices exist only in the demo, yet the homepage behaves the way a club's own site should: the weekly timetable filters, the Ramadan switch swaps the whole week, a trial hold takes a place off the count and the membership builder totals a plan in Kuwaiti dinar.
A concept build: Shadd Athletic Club is a fictional brand we created to show how we design and build a gym website for Salmiya. It is not a client and not a real company; our client work is on the work page.
The complete homepage, live
Both frames run the real site. Scroll inside them, try the weekly timetable of 32 classes with filters for floor, time of day, class type and level, a live count of what is showing and an animated reshuffle as filters change, or open it in a new tab.
How we designed a gym website for Salmiya
The timetable is the hero
People choosing a gym in Salmiya want to know whether a class fits their week before they read anything else. So the hero points straight at the week, and the timetable follows it: seven numbered day columns with times, coaches, levels and a bar showing the places left. On a phone it becomes a day picker that opens on today, with the filters folded into one row.
One colour for each floor
Red always means the men's floor, steel blue the ladies' floor and black the kids and family classes, in the timetable, the floor cards and the booking form alike. A visitor can scan the week for their own floor without reading a label. The ladies' floor then gets its own band on women coaches, private changing rooms, no cameras inside and a separate side-street entrance.
A real Ramadan week
In Kuwait the gym year changes shape for a month, with training moved to the hours after iftar. A switch on the timetable swaps in the late-night Ramadan week, turns the poster band black, updates the opening hours in the builder and remembers the choice for the next visit. The Ramadan band lists the hours before iftar and after it, floor by floor.
Pinned to the club noticeboard
The page is designed like a sports poster pinned to a club noticeboard: solid blocks of track red, steel blue and black on chalk, tall condensed Big Shoulders Display type and huge numerals. The photographs show the floors and classes from behind, with no faces.

Questions
How should a gym in Kuwait show its classes and prices online?
Put the class timetable high on the homepage, with times, coaches, levels and how many places are left, and give the prices in Kuwaiti dinar with what each plan includes. Then cover the opening hours for each floor, the free trial or day pass, parking and how to find the club. A short health note and a FAQ answer the questions the front desk hears every day.
How should a gym website in Kuwait present a ladies' floor?
Give it its own section rather than a line in the facilities list. Women deciding on a club look for a separate entrance, women coaches, private changing rooms and whether anyone can see in, so say each of these plainly. A separate contact for the ladies' team and a way to book a visit to the floor before joining help too.
Should a gym website in Kuwait have a Ramadan timetable?
Yes, if the club changes its hours for the month, which most do. Members want to see the sessions before iftar, the late-night classes and the closing times for each floor without calling. A switch that changes the whole timetable keeps one page up to date instead of a separate notice that goes stale.
