Qirmiz Contracting company website design for Doha, a concept build
Qirmiz is a fictional interior fit-out and joinery contractor in Doha, and we gave it a working homepage as a concept build. It is made for the people who hire a fit-out firm in Qatar: companies moving into office floors in West Bay and Lusail, hotel and restaurant operators, mall tenants with an opening date, and families finishing a villa. Qirmiz exists only for this concept, but the slider, the estimator and the process rail all run in the browser.
A concept build: Qirmiz is a fictional brand we created to show how we design and build a contracting company website for Doha. It is not a client and not a real company; our client work is on the work page.
The complete homepage, live
Both frames run the real site. Scroll inside them, try the before and after slider you can drag, tap or move with the arrow keys, or open it in a new tab.
How we designed a contracting company website for Doha
Maroon, lacquer and stone
The colours are the finishes a fit-out firm puts into a room: deep maroon, lacquer black, limestone and travertine, laid down across whole sections of the page. A high-contrast Bodoni Moda serif carries the headlines and a light Jost sans carries the detail, so the site feels like a well-finished room rather than a brochure.
Show the shell, then the finish
Someone hiring a fit-out contractor wants to see what happens between bare concrete and handover. A drag slider shows the same West Bay office floor as the shell it was received in and the reception it became, with both photographs framed on the same point so the change reads at a glance.
Programme before price
Offices, hotels and mall units in Doha plan around an opening date, so the site leads with weeks. A pinned rail walks through six stages from first survey to handover with a week marker on each, and the estimator gives an indicative programme next to a price band in Qatari riyals, clearly labelled as a guide and not a quote.
A workshop worth showing
A fit-out firm that makes its own joinery controls its finish and its dates, so the workshop gets a section of its own: veneers conditioned before pressing, every panel numbered to its drawing and a finishing booth with controlled humidity. Quality reads the same way, as habits such as a full-size mock-up of each repeated detail and a written site report every Thursday.

Questions
How should a fit-out company in Doha show its finished work?
Give each project its type, floor area, scope and the finishes used, and where you can, a before and after view taken from the same spot, so the change from bare shell to handover is plain. Group the work by offices, hospitality, retail and villas so each buyer finds their own kind of room quickly. A few close photographs of joinery, stone and metalwork say more about the finish than another wide shot.
What should a fit-out enquiry form ask?
Whatever makes the first call useful: project type, floor area, location, the target handover month and what the client already has, whether that is a bare shell, a set of drawings or only a date. Put one clear action, such as booking a site visit, in the header and again at the end of the page. Say who will reply, so the client knows a project lead and not a sales inbox is on the other end.
How much of the fit-out process should a contractor's website explain?
Enough for a client to plan around it. Name each stage from survey and brief to snagging and handover, say what the client approves or supplies at each one, such as samples or landlord submissions, and explain the checks that protect the finish, like hold points before a ceiling is closed. Laid out this way, the process answers most first-call questions before the call.
