Websites for hotels and resorts
Rooms booked on your own site. Hotel website design for Kerala and Gulf resorts
Marketlube designs and builds websites for hotels, resorts and homestays in Kerala and the Gulf from Calicut, Kerala, meeting Gulf owners on video calls and WhatsApp rather than in person, since we have no Gulf office. Every site is built around the direct booking: a rate calendar that prices each night by its season, the full price with taxes and fees before the guest pays, your booking engine and channel manager, and WhatsApp for the questions families ask first. Our work for Kerala stays so far is Instagram, one brand identity and one AI film, not websites, so the hotel website you can open here is a concept build: Fazayah, a resort site for a fictional Salalah brand.

Fazayah, a concept build
A hotel website is judged at the moment of booking.
A guest who finds your resort on Instagram or an online travel agency usually searches your name before paying, and if your booking engine sends Google a price feed, your own rate can sit beside the agencies' rates on that search. If your site is a brochure with an enquiry form, the guest waits for a reply while the agency tab offers instant confirmation, and you pay commission on a guest who already knew your name. The site has to make the direct route the easier one: live rooms, the full price shown early, and a quick answer on WhatsApp.
That is what we design for. Each room type gets its own page with its size, beds, view and who it sleeps; the calendar shows what each night costs in its season; the price line adds extras, transfers, taxes and the deposit before anyone types a card number; and group, wedding and buyout enquiries go to a separate form that asks the right questions for a real quote. In Kerala the nightly tariff decides the GST slab, and in Dubai the Tourism Dirham has to be described, with its amount, on room price lists online and on the guest's invoice, so the build follows the place.
Where we stand with hotels: we have not yet built a website for a real hotel or resort. For Kerala stays we have run Instagram accounts, designed a resort's brand identity and made an AI film for a Wayanad resort. The sample on this page is our Fazayah concept build, a working resort website for a fictional Salalah brand, with rooms, rates and seasons we invented. The GST slabs, VAT and tourism fees below are what we build price lines for; your chartered accountant or tax agent confirms the figures for your property, and none of it is tax or legal advice.
What a guest checks before booking direct.
Guests check your price against the agencies before they book
What we build: A booking engine on your own domain, tied to your channel manager.
What you get (4)Show less
- Live availability and instant confirmation, not a reply by email
- One inventory across your site and the agencies, so a room is never sold twice
- Rates, packages and direct-booking extras you set yourself
- A check that your engine can send prices to Google's free booking links

Rates that move with the season, the weekend and the festival
What we build: A rate calendar that prices every night on its own.
What you get (4)Show less
- Each night coloured by its season and showing the rate for the chosen room
- Minimum stays for each season stated before dates are picked
- A stay that crosses two seasons split in the price line, so the total is easy to check
- Nearby mid-week dates offered when they cost less
The whole price, taxes and fees included, before the guest pays
What we build: A price line that lists every charge before payment.
What you get (4)Show less
- Room nights, extra beds, airport transfers and the deposit as separate lines
- Taxes and fees for your country shown before the card step, never added after it
- For Dubai properties, the Tourism Dirham described with its amount on the rate display, the confirmation and the receipt
- Deposit, cancellation and no-show terms next to the price, in plain words

Families, groups and wedding parties ask before they commit
What we build: WhatsApp, room-fit checks and a separate enquiry form for groups.
What you get (4)Show less
- A WhatsApp button on every room page, with the room name filled into the message
- A warning when a party will not fit the room chosen, with a room that will
- Connecting rooms, cots, extra beds and step-free rooms stated on each room page
- A group and event form that asks for dates, guest numbers and rooms needed
Room photos that match the room the guest walks into
What we build: Room and villa pages built on your own photography and video.
What you get (4)Show less
- Every room type with its size, beds, view and who it sleeps
- A short walkthrough video per room type, loaded only when played
- Images sized for phones on a weak hill-station or highway signal
- Generated images kept to mood and labelled, never standing in for a room or facility you do not have

Guests choose a season and a route, not only a room
What we build: Season guides and a getting-here page.
What you get (4)Show less
- An honest guide to each season, with any climate fact dated and sourced
- Drive and transfer times from the nearest airport or railway station
- Airport or station pick-up booked with the stay, priced by vehicle size
- Nearby places filtered by the season they suit
Permission to send past guests your next offer
What we build: Booking and enquiry forms that record consent.
What you get (4)Show less
- An unticked box for Onam, Khareef or monsoon offers by WhatsApp or email, kept apart from the booking terms
- A consent notice that names the purpose, such as sending next season's offers to past guests
- The consent stored with the booking and its date, so you can show when a guest agreed
- An unsubscribe link in every offer and a privacy page that says how to withdraw consent

Fazayah
Fazayah, a family-run beach and hill resort on the Dhofar coast west of Salalah, is a fiction we created for this concept. Its website is pitched at Gulf families planning a Khareef trip and at winter-sun visitors from further away, with a straight guide to each season, rooms shown as numbered postcards and a booking calendar that prices every night by its season. Try the season switch, the calendar or the price line: they all work, though no room can actually be booked.
From room types to the road in: a resort site's pages.
- HomeThe place first, with a quick search for dates, guests and room type that carries into the booking step, and the way to book visible on every screen.
- Rooms and villasOne page per room type: size, beds, who it sleeps, the view, accessibility, its rate by season and a button that opens the calendar with that room chosen.
- Book directThe rate calendar and the price line, or your booking engine's screens styled to match, with deposit and cancellation terms beside the total.
- Offers and packagesHoneymoon, family, long-weekend and Ayurveda or spa packages, each with what it includes, the dates it runs and the conditions in plain words.
- SeasonsWhat each part of the year is really like at your property, from the Kerala monsoon to the Salalah Khareef, with dated sources for any weather fact.
- DiningRestaurants and meal plans, opening hours, halal and vegetarian notes, whether alcohol is served, and Ramadan or Onam arrangements where they apply.
- Experiences and nearbyActivities run by the property and places worth the drive, each with the time it takes and the season it suits.
- Getting hereRoutes from the nearest airport, railway station and city, with transfer prices by vehicle and a drawn route map that loads fast on a phone.
- Weddings, groups and eventsHalls, capacities, room blocks and buyout terms, with an enquiry form that asks for the dates, guest count and rooms needed.
- Gallery and videosYour own photographs and walkthroughs, grouped by rooms, food, the grounds and the surroundings.
- PoliciesCheck-in and check-out times, deposit, cancellation, children and extra beds, pets, and ID needed at check-in, in one page guests can read in a minute.
- ContactWhatsApp, phone, email and the address with a map link, plus your licence or registration details where your market requires them.
Kerala, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Kerala
Kerala Tourism's 2025 statistics count 2.51 crore domestic tourist visits, up 12.64% on 2024, and 8.22 lakh foreign tourist visits, up 11.33%. Oman sent 65,132 visitors in 2025, up from 38,387, and was the third-largest source country after the UK and the USA; Saudi Arabia (31,593) and the UAE (26,255) were ninth and tenth. A Kerala resort that wants those families can give them a monsoon page, family rooms and food notes, with Arabic where Arab families are the audience. Since 22 September 2025, rooms up to ₹7,500 per unit per day carry 5% GST without input tax credit and higher tariffs 18%, so the price line works out the slab from each night's tariff; packages can be treated differently, which your chartered accountant confirms.

The UAE
The Consumer Protection Executive Regulations (Cabinet Resolution No. 66 of 2023) require website information, advertising, contracts and invoices to be in Arabic at a minimum, with other languages such as English allowed alongside, so a UAE hotel site that sells to consumers is usually planned in both. Room prices advertised to consumers include the 5% VAT. In Dubai the Tourism Dirham is charged for each room per night, by the hotel's classification, for up to 30 consecutive nights, and Administrative Resolution No. 2 of 2020 asks for it to be described as a fee, with its amount, on room price lists (online and app prices included) and on invoices and receipts. We build those lines; your finance team supplies the figures.

Saudi Arabia
From 1 January 2025 the Ministry of Tourism told local and international booking platforms to remove tourist and private hospitality facilities operating without a valid ministry licence, and to make listings match the classifications the ministry granted, with fines of up to SAR 1 million for platforms that do not comply. The directive is aimed at the platforms, but a hotel's own site is where a guest checks the listing, so we give it fields for the licence details and official classification in the footer and name room categories as the ministry classed them, with an Arabic version beside the English.

Oman
Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism counted about 1,048,000 visitors to Dhofar in the Khareef, from 21 June to 21 September 2024, up about 9% on 2023's 962,000; about 734,600 were Omani, about 176,600 came from other Gulf states, and about three in four arrived over land rather than by air. With the peak packed into three months and the guests mostly families on the road, a Salalah site needs Arabic, room types for three generations, a calendar that shows where the Khareef starts and ends, and pages that stay quick on a phone during the summer rush. Booking forms need explicit, provable consent under the Personal Data Protection Law (Article 10).

Figures are before GST in India, and before VAT where it applies in the Gulf. The written quote for a hotel lists the number of room types and packages, the booking engine or channel manager we connect (its fee is paid to that provider), the payment gateway for deposits, an Arabic or Malayalam version and who writes it, and any Google hotel price feed set up through your provider.
What the build includes
- Design and build of the pages in the site map, sized to your room types and packages
- Your booking engine connected on your domain, or a booking request flow with a deposit
- A rate display that prices each night by its season, with minimum stays
- A payment gateway for deposits, tested with the gateway's test cards across season edges before launch
- WhatsApp links on room pages and a separate group and event enquiry form
- Consent boxes, a privacy page and a cookie banner where your market needs one
- Search foundations: one page per room type, hotel structured data and a link to your Google Business Profile
- Booking tracking in analytics, so you can see direct bookings by source
- A handover session on updating rooms, rates, offers and seasons yourself
Not included
- The booking engine or channel manager subscription, which you contract with the provider
- Photographing rooms, villas and the grounds, or filming room walkthroughs, which we quote as a shoot if your own photos are not ready
- Managing your listings, promotions and rate parity on the travel agencies
- Licences, tax registration and the legal wording of your policies, which stay with your advisers
- Bidding on Google hotel ads or running Meta campaigns before your peak, which we take on as a separate engagement
Five steps. No surprises.
Every stage has an owner, a deliverable and a sign-off, all agreed with you before it starts.
Book a discovery callA call about your rooms and seasons
We ask how many room types you sell, which months fill first, where guests come from, which agencies you list on and what share of bookings is direct today. That decides how much of the site is about rooms, seasons or events.
Pick the booking route
If you have a booking engine and channel manager, we check what they can embed and whether they can send prices to Google. If you do not, we plan a booking request with a deposit and suggest the questions to ask a provider before you sign.
Rooms, calendar and price line
You see the room pages, the season guide and the full booking path as links on your phone, with your real rates and policies filled in, so the deposit and cancellation wording is settled before the build.
Build, connect and book it yourself
We build the site, connect the engine and gateway in test mode and make test bookings across season edges, weekends and large families, on a phone over a slow connection, until every total matches your rate sheet.
Launch ahead of your peak
We launch before the booking window for your next peak opens, not in the middle of it, then update your Google Business Profile link and Instagram bio to the new booking page. The care plan keeps rates, offers and updates moving after launch.

What do guests compare on a hotel's own site before booking direct?
Each room type with its size, beds, view and who it sleeps; what a night costs on the dates chosen; every extra, tax and fee before payment; the deposit and cancellation terms; how to get there from the nearest airport or station; and a quick way to ask a question, usually WhatsApp. Families also look for connecting rooms, food rules and whether alcohol is served.
Does a small resort need a booking engine and a channel manager?
Use a booking engine with live availability for rooms, connected to a channel manager so the website and the travel agencies sell from one inventory. Keep a separate enquiry form for weddings, groups and buyouts, which need a quote rather than an instant price. A small homestay without an engine can start with a booking request and a deposit, as long as it replies quickly.
How do Google free booking links work for a hotel?
Google's hotel panel shows prices from several sites. Paid placements carry an "Ads" badge, while free booking links are listed under "All options" and are free. Your rates reach Google through a price feed, usually sent by a booking engine or channel manager that is a Google integration partner, so ask your provider whether it is one.
Which GST slab does a Kerala room tariff fall in?
Since 22 September 2025, hotel accommodation priced up to ₹7,500 per unit per day carries 5% GST without input tax credit, and higher tariffs carry 18%. Packages that bundle meals and activities can be treated differently, so confirm the treatment for your rooms and packages with your chartered accountant before the rates go live.
Do Gulf room rates have to show VAT and the Tourism Dirham?
Prices shown to consumers in the UAE must include the 5% VAT, and Oman's VAT Executive Regulations list not showing VAT-inclusive prices as an offence. In Dubai, the Tourism Dirham is charged per room per night and must be described, with its amount, on room price lists, including online ones, and on the guest's invoices and receipts. Show the full total before payment and check the current figures with your tax adviser.
Can a hotel show a lower price on its own website than on travel agencies?
That depends on your contract with each agency, as parity terms differ. Adding value to direct bookings, such as breakfast, an airport transfer or a late check-out, is usually safer than a lower public rate, and members-only rates for returning guests can sit behind a login or a WhatsApp list.
Can we use AI-generated images on a resort website?
Only for mood, and labelled. ASCI's guidelines on synthetic content in advertising, released in September 2026, give a travel business showing a hotel with non-existent facilities as an example of content not allowed even with a label. Rooms, views, pools and food should be your own photographs, because guests compare them with what they find on arrival.
