Websites for clinics and hospitals
Who is in today, answered online. Clinic website design for polyclinics, hospitals and specialist practices in Kerala and the Gulf
A clinic, polyclinic or hospital website from Marketlube is planned around the OP desk, by our team in Calicut for practices in Kerala and the Gulf (we have no Gulf office and meet Gulf clients on video calls). Each site runs on one OP timetable that tells patients which doctor is in today, a doctor directory that informs rather than advertises, fee and package rates in Malayalam and English, and appointment requests that collect only what the front desk needs. We have no clinic or hospital among our clients yet, so the sample on this page is a concept build.

Thelima Polyclinic, a concept build
Patients ask before they leave home.
Patients ring a clinic with the same few questions: is the doctor in today, from what time, and what will the consultation cost. A website that answers those on a phone, in the patient's own language, takes calls off the front desk. One that opens with a slideshow of the building sends people straight back to the phone. A hospital has more to answer: where the casualty entrance is, which insurers and TPAs it works with, and how a son in Dubai can arrange a visit for his mother in Kozhikode.
Healthcare also has rules about what a website may say. In India, the National Medical Commission's guidelines of 6 October 2026 treat a hospital's doctor directory as patient information rather than advertising, while ruling out promises of cure and claims of being better than other doctors. Kerala's Clinical Establishments Act asks for fee and package rates to be displayed at the clinic in Malayalam and English. Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain each have their own health advertising rules, and a booking form that asks about symptoms is handling health data, which every one of these countries guards more closely than an ordinary enquiry. The regulators and reports we relied on are linked beside each rule, with the day we read them.
The sample is Thelima Polyclinic, our concept build of an outpatient clinic website for a fictional Kochi brand. Every doctor on it is invented, and it is not a client. We build the timetable, the forms and the pages; your medical director and advisers decide what the clinic may say about doctors and treatments. This page is not legal or medical advice.
What a clinic or hospital website has to do.
Patients want to know who is in today, and from what time
What we build: One OP timetable in the admin that feeds the home page, the department pages, every doctor card and the appointment form.
What you get (4)Show less
- An OP board by day and department, with today's column marked and a day picker on phones
- Open or closed lines for the OP, lab, pharmacy and imaging, read in the clinic's own time zone
- Leave entered once by the front desk, so no page shows a doctor who is away
- Sunday and festival hours set as exceptions, for Onam, Vishu, Eid and Christmas
A doctor directory that informs instead of advertising
What we build: Doctor pages built from the fields the NMC guidelines treat as patient information: recognised qualifications, specialty, registration details and availability.
What you get (4)Show less
- One page per doctor with department, OP days, languages spoken and a button that pre-fills a request with that doctor
- Required fields for the registration council and number, so no card goes live without them
- A copy check for claims of superiority, guaranteed cures and promised outcomes before anything is published
- Department letters or drawings in place of portraits, where the clinic decides against doctors' photographs
Source: Medical Dialogues, NMC specifies permitted and prohibited advertising practices for hospitals (18 Oct 2026), read 28 Oct 2026
Fee and package rates in Malayalam and English
What we build: A rate list kept in the admin and published as one page in both languages, dated each time it changes.
What you get (4)Show less
- Consultation fees by department, and package rates with what each package includes
- Malayalam and English side by side, written by a native writer and checked by the clinic
- A 'last updated' date printed automatically when a rate changes
- Department pages that take their fee line from the same list, so the two never disagree
Source: Medical Dialogues, Hospitals must display rates: Kerala HC (25 Jun 2025), on section 39 of the Kerala Clinical Establishments Act, 2018, read 28 Oct 2026
Appointment requests that ask for as little as possible
What we build: A request form the front desk confirms by phone or WhatsApp, with a notice written to the consent rules of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What you get (5)Show less
- Only the days the chosen department has an OP, and only that department's doctors
- A notice beside the form, in English and Malayalam, saying what is collected and why
- Booking for a parent or a child as its own path, with the relationship recorded
- A hint not to type medical history into the form, and a consent box that is never ticked in advance
- Requests sent to the desk's WhatsApp or email, never copied into an ad platform

Department and treatment pages patients can find on Google
What we build: One page per department or treatment: who it is for, what happens at the visit, how to prepare, which doctors see it and the fee.
What you get (4)Show less
- Pages written for the searches patients make, such as an ENT doctor in Kozhikode or a diabetes review in Kochi
- Clinic and physician structured data, with an address and phone that match the Google Business Profile exactly
- Analytics events named by department, never by condition, so tags carry no health data
- Landing pages for search ads that do not lean on remarketing or customer lists, which Google bars when an ad promotes a sensitive health category
Source: Google Advertising Policies Help, Health in personalized advertising, read 28 Oct 2026
Emergencies, casualty and after hours, said plainly
What we build: A fixed emergency block on every page: what the clinic does not handle, where the nearest casualty is, and the national emergency number.
What you get (4)Show less
- For an outpatient clinic, a clear line that it is not an emergency hospital
- For a hospital, the casualty entrance, ambulance line and 24-hour numbers, with a map
- An after-hours panel for questions about a report or a prescription, with the hours someone answers
- The same block in Malayalam, or in Arabic for a Gulf clinic
Insurance, TPA and health check packages without a phone call
What we build: An insurers and TPA page kept by the billing desk, and a packages page that lists every test in every package.
What you get (4)Show less
- Insurers, TPAs and government schemes listed from the clinic's current agreements, with the date of the list
- Cashless and reimbursement steps explained in plain words, with what the billing desk fills in
- Each package with its tests, preparation such as fasting, and its rate
- A request button on each package that asks for a lab slot rather than a doctor
Patient data kept where the law expects it
What we build: A request form that keeps health detail out of the website, hosted and routed to the rules of the country the clinic works in.
What you get (4)Show less
- For a UAE clinic, the form hosted in the UAE and its submissions routed to a channel the clinic has cleared under the UAE's health data rule
- No upload box for reports or scans on the public site; patients bring them or send them through the clinic's own records system
- Requests delivered to named desk staff only, and cleared from the site's inbox on a schedule the clinic sets
- Analytics and ad tags held back until the visitor agrees

Thelima Polyclinic
Thelima Polyclinic, a multi-specialty outpatient clinic in Kadavanthra, Kochi, was created for this concept, and every doctor listed on it is invented. Its homepage is written for families choosing where to see a doctor and for sons and daughters in the Gulf who book for parents back home. Behind it sits one timetable that drives the OP board, the doctor cards, the open-now lines and the appointment request form, all in Kochi time, with Malayalam beside the English.
The pages a clinic or hospital site usually needs.
- HomeToday's hours for the OP, lab, pharmacy and imaging, the departments and the request button, all within the first scroll on a phone.
- DepartmentsOne page each: what the department usually sees, its doctors and OP days, the consultation fee and how to prepare.
- OP timetableThe weekly board by department, with leave notices, today's column marked and a day picker on phones.
- DoctorsA directory and one page per doctor with qualifications, registration, specialty, languages and OP days.
- Fees and packagesConsultation fees and package rates in Malayalam and English, each package with its tests and the date the list was last changed.
- Lab, pharmacy and imagingHours, fasting instructions, which scans need a doctor's request and how reports are collected or sent.
- Insurance and TPAThe insurers, TPAs and schemes the clinic works with, and the cashless and reimbursement steps.
- Emergency and casualtyFor a hospital, the casualty entrance and ambulance line; for an outpatient clinic, where to go instead.
- Appointment requestThe short form, the consent notice, and when and how the desk will confirm.
- Patients from abroadFor families in the Gulf booking for a parent at home, and for patients bringing reports from hospitals abroad, with contact hours in Gulf time.
- Visiting, directions and parkingVisiting hours for wards, the drop-off point and ramp, parking, the nearest bus stop and a map.
- Privacy, grievances and contactThe privacy notice, how to raise a complaint and who answers it, and the phone and WhatsApp numbers.
What changes in Kerala and in each Gulf market.
Kerala and the rest of India
Section 39 of the Kerala Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2018 asks clinical establishments to display fee and package rates in Malayalam and English at the premises. In November 2025 the Kerala High Court upheld the Act and directed hospitals to publish services and rates at reception and on their websites; in December 2025 the Supreme Court, hearing the Kerala Private Hospitals Association's appeal, ordered no coercive steps against its members until the next hearing, provided they keep seeking registration; that interim order was last reported extended to 24 March 2026. Check the current position with your association; a dated rate page in both languages is good practice either way. Google allows a separate Business Profile for each public-facing doctor, so each doctor's page and profile carry the same hours and details.

The UAE
Dubai Health Authority's Standards for Medical Advertisement Content on Social Media, in effect since 3 October 2022, require a health facility's official social accounts to state the medical advertisement licence number issued by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and make the medical director answerable for content that names the facility. Before-and-after pictures must show the same person, without retouching, with a statement that the result is not guaranteed to be the same and what the risks are. The standard covers social media rather than the website, but the site links to those accounts and carries the same reels, so we keep a place for the licence number and hold the copy to the same rules. Patient forms follow the UAE's health data rule in the needs above.

Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health's Private Health Institutions System bars advertising a health institution except under its executive regulations and professional ethics, as reported in February 2025 when the ministry stepped up enforcement. Health data is sensitive data under the Personal Data Protection Law, and SDAIA's guide for controllers says sensitive data may not be used for marketing, even with consent. A Saudi clinic site therefore keeps booking data apart from any marketing list, and we plan it in Arabic first with English alongside.

Oman
Oman's Ministry of Health issues a health advertisement licence through its eHealth portal, and approval is needed before advertising a private health establishment, its staff, equipment or services in any medium. Under the Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022), health data cannot be processed without a permit from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and IT, which reaches booking forms and any patient area, so an Omani clinic confirms its permit before the form goes live.

Bahrain
Bahrain's National Health Regulatory Authority published its Guidelines for Advertising Health Services in November 2018, and they name websites as well as social media. They treat fees or price information shown in a misleading way as misleading advertising, and rule out titles that make a practitioner look more qualified or senior than they are. So each doctor page in Bahrain takes its title from the NHRA licence rather than from a business card, and each package lists what is and is not included in its price.

What a clinic or hospital website costs.
- Business websiteCustom design, up to 8 pages · 4 to 8 weeksfrom INR 60,000 · AED, QAR or SAR 8,000 · KWD 650 · OMR or BHD 800
- Next.js website with a CMSHeadless CMS, up to 15 pages · 8 to 14 weeksfrom INR 2,00,000 · AED, QAR or SAR 15,000 · KWD 1,250 · OMR 1,550 · BHD 1,500
- Website care planBilled yearly · starts within a weekfrom INR 3,000 · AED, QAR or SAR 500 · KWD 40 · OMR or BHD 50 a month
Add GST for an Indian clinic, and VAT for a Gulf clinic in a country that charges it. A single-specialty or dental clinic that fits in eight pages suits the business website; a polyclinic or hospital with a page per department and per doctor, edited by its own desk, needs the CMS build. Your written quote lists the departments and doctor pages, the timetable and rate list, each language and who writes and checks it, where appointment requests are sent, and any hosting in the clinic's own country.
What the build includes
- An OP timetable in the admin that drives every status line, doctor card and the appointment form
- Department and doctor pages with required fields for qualifications, registration and OP days
- A fee and package page in English and Malayalam, or English and Arabic, with the date of each change
- An appointment request form with a consent notice, sent to the desk's WhatsApp or email
- An emergency and after-hours block on every page
- Clinic and physician structured data, matched to the Google Business Profile
- A consent banner for analytics and ad tags, with events named by department only
- Front desk training on marking a doctor on leave, changing a festival closing and dating a new rate list
- A pre-launch run of the request form on the desk's own phones, from a Sunday request to a booking for a parent
Not included
- Clinical writing: doctors write or approve everything said about conditions and treatments
- Lab reports online, patient records or a feed from a hospital information system: these are software, with their own quote
- Health advertisement licences and permits from MOHAP, Oman's MOH, NHRA or any other authority, which the clinic applies for
- Insurer and TPA agreements; we list the ones you hold
- Photographs of wards, theatres or patients, which need the clinic's own consent process before anyone shoots
- Checking the consent notice and privacy wording against health data law, which your lawyer signs off
Five steps. No surprises.
Every stage has an owner, a deliverable and a sign-off, all agreed with you before it starts.
Book a discovery callA call with the administrator
We start with a video call with the clinic's administrator and, for anything clinical, the medical director, who signs off on what the site says about doctors and treatments. We ask how appointments work today, who answers the phone, and which licences and registration numbers the site must show.
Timetable, rates and doctors
Before any design, we collect the OP timetable, how leave is announced, the rate list in both languages and each doctor's qualifications and registration number in one shared sheet. Gaps show up on the first day instead of the week before launch.
Design for the phone first
We design the OP board, the doctor cards and the request form for phones first, with Malayalam set in a proper Malayalam typeface, or Arabic laid out right to left. You review the designs as links on your phone and comment on WhatsApp.
Build and test with reception
We build the site, send requests to the desk's WhatsApp or email and add the consent notice and the emergency block. Before launch, the front desk tries real cases: a Sunday request, a booking for a parent, a doctor on leave.
Launch and keep the timetable true
We launch on a weekday morning, show the front desk how to change leave, hours and rates, and hand over the admin logins. The care plan keeps updates, backups and fixes going after launch.

What do patients look for first on a clinic website?
Whether the doctor they need is in today, from what time, and what the consultation costs. Next come each doctor's qualifications, registration details and OP days, the opening hours of the lab, pharmacy and imaging, and the package rates. A clinic or hospital site also needs a short appointment request form, the insurers and TPAs it works with, directions and parking, and a clear note on what the clinic does not handle and where to go in an emergency.
Can a hospital website in India show doctors' photographs?
The NMC's guidelines of 6 October 2026, as reported, treat a hospital website's directory of recognised qualifications, specialties, registration details and availability as patient information rather than advertising, and do not permit doctors' photographs where their use amounts to self-advertisement. Whether a directory portrait crosses that line is for your medical director and advisers. A directory can also leave portraits out and use department letters or drawings instead.
Does a clinic in Kerala have to publish its rates on its website?
Section 39 of the Kerala Clinical Establishments Act, 2018 asks establishments to display fee and package rates in Malayalam and English in a conspicuous place at the clinic itself; it does not mention websites. In November 2025 the High Court's division bench upheld the Act and directed hospitals to publish services and rates at reception and on their websites. In December 2025 the Supreme Court ordered no coercive steps against members of the Kerala Private Hospitals Association, which appealed, until the next hearing, provided they keep seeking registration; that interim order was last reported extended to 24 March 2026, so check the current position with your association.
Should patients book a fixed slot online or send a request?
For most outpatient clinics a request that the front desk confirms by phone or WhatsApp works better, because OP times move when a doctor is on leave or a procedure runs long. Fixed online slots suit services with set durations, such as dental check-ups or physiotherapy sessions. Either way, the form should offer only the days the department has an OP and ask for as little as it needs.
Does a Dubai clinic need approval for what it posts?
Dubai Health Authority's social media standard, in effect since October 2022, requires a facility's official accounts to show the medical advertisement licence number issued by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and makes the medical director responsible for content that names the facility. A September 2026 report lists words DHA-licensed providers may not use in such ads, including '100%', 'no side effects' and 'immediate results'. Ask the authority how it applies to your website.
Where should a clinic's patient form data be stored?
It depends on the country. In the UAE, health information may not leave the country except in cases the health authorities set. In Oman, processing health data needs a permit from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and IT. In India, the DPDP Act's notice, consent and security duties apply in full from 13 May 2027. Keep clinical details in your medical records system, not in the website's form inbox.
What slows a clinic website down most?
Content rather than code. The doctors' registration details, the current timetable with its leave rules and a rate list both languages agree on take longer to gather than the pages take to build, which is why we collect them in a shared sheet before design starts. The build timelines for each option are in the price table above.
