ZAJEL: A customs portal, an app and a new website for a Dubai courier

ZAJEL has moved documents and parcels across the UAE since 2008, from Emirates IDs and passports to express delivery, freight and customs clearance.

For ZAJEL we designed the portal its clients use for customs documents with Dubai Customs and supported its development, designed the ZAJEL app and supported its build, and designed and built a new website that launches soon. Around them run an AI brand film, creatives, SEO, branding and IT support.

Dubai Customs portal

One portal for every customs document.

Clearing goods through Dubai Customs runs on paperwork: invoices, declarations and original documents that once meant a trip to a customs centre. ZAJEL's portal takes it online, where clients register, sign in and handle their customs documents in one place.

We designed the portal and supported its development. It is live today, linked from zajel.com as Customs Submission, and its sign-in screen says it plainly: one portal for all customs documents, in collaboration with Dubai Customs. ZAJEL's ties with Dubai Customs go back to a 2013 agreement to carry original customs documents by express courier.

The ZAJEL app

An app for booking, tracking and changing a delivery.

We designed the ZAJEL app's interface and supported its development. The home screen leads with tracking, then books a domestic or international shipment from sender to receiver.

A shipment opens into its route and history, with the option to change the address or collect it from a nearby Amer centre instead, and live tracking follows the rider across the map. It is ZAJEL's own app on the App Store and Google Play, where it lists more than 50,000 downloads; the screens here come from its Google Play listing, with names and shipment numbers blurred.

AI video

A brand film, made with AI.

Every city has its rhythm is a 32-second brand film we made for ZAJEL with AI: sea and air freight, the sorting hall and deliveries on Dubai's roads, all in ZAJEL green. It sits with our other AI films, labelled as AI-made, with the whole film a tap away.

Website

A new website, built around what people come to do.

We designed and built ZAJEL's new website. Tracking by AWB number sits in the first screen, then the three ways ZAJEL works: shipping for individuals, logistics for businesses, and secure courier for government and legal documents.

Every service has a page of its own, from same-day delivery and international shipping to air, sea and land freight, customs clearance, warehousing and Emirates ID and passport delivery. On a phone, a bar along the bottom of the home page keeps rates, tracking, sending, business and branches a thumb away.

The site launches soon (today's zajel.com is still the older site). It is designed for English and Arabic; the screens here are the English version.

Creatives and branding

One ZAJEL, wherever it shows up.

We make ZAJEL's creatives and design work as well. The portal, the app, the website, the film and those creatives should all read as one company, so we look after how ZAJEL's brand shows up across every one of them.

SEO

Search, built into the new site.

The new website is built for the searches people make before they ship, with pages such as customs clearance in the UAE, warehousing in Dubai and international shipping from the UAE, each with its own title and description, and a FAQ for the common questions. We handle ZAJEL's SEO, and we claim no rankings while the new site is still a preview.

IT support

IT support, from the same team.

We handle ZAJEL's IT support from our Calicut office, which runs 90 minutes ahead of Dubai, so the portal, the app and the website have one team behind them.

Proof

The most-reviewed courier we found in Dubai.

Our team told us ZAJEL is the most-rated courier in Dubai on Google, so we checked on 30 Sep 2026: about 180 courier and delivery listings in Dubai on Google Maps, including Aramex, DHL, Emirates Post, SMSA, FedEx, UPS, Jeebly and Quiqup.

ZAJEL's main listing has the most reviews by a wide margin, but some listings with far fewer reviews rate higher, so we don't call it the highest rated. The scope on this page is reported by our team; the screens are real, with names and shipment numbers blurred.
