Padavu Entrance Academy Coaching centre website design for Calicut, a concept build
We designed and built a complete homepage for Padavu Entrance Academy, a fictional NEET, JEE Main and KEAM coaching academy in Calicut, for students of 16 and over and for their parents, many of whom work in the Gulf and decide from a phone. Padavu does not exist, but its page does what an academy site should: course tabs, a batch timetable finder, a fee table with instalments and a refund rule, and a free demo class form, all usable on the page.
A concept build: Padavu Entrance Academy is a fictional brand we created to show how we design and build a coaching centre website for Calicut. It is not a client and not a real company; our client work is on the work page.
The complete homepage, live
Both frames run the real site. Scroll inside them, try the batch finder: pick the exam and the batch to see the whole week's timetable, as a grid on a desktop and a day-by-day list on a phone, or open it in a new tab.
How we designed a coaching centre website for Calicut
A design made of steps
A padavu is one of the laterite steps that lead down into a Kerala temple pond, so the whole design is made of steps. A stepped marigold mark, marigold blocks that climb into the hero photo, and a Learn, Test and Review staircase that fills in turn as you scroll all carry the idea of steady daily work rather than a crash course.
Facts a parent can check
Parents in Kozhikode and in the Gulf want plain facts before they choose an academy. The page leads with a week-by-week timetable, a fee table in rupees with every instalment and the refund rule beside it, and the name of the teacher who takes each subject. Each course card links straight to its own row in the fee table.
How results are counted
Entrance coaching in Kerala is often sold with topper photographs and rank claims. Padavu has none: instead the site describes a once-a-year report that counts every enrolled student, shown here as a sample layout with no figures, and lists the rules from India's 2024 guidelines for coaching centres that the academy keeps.
Malayalam beside English
Classes and books are in English, the exam's language, so the detail stays in English. Malayalam headings, day names and menu labels sit beside it, set in Anek Malayalam with Archivo, so a parent or grandparent who reads Malayalam first can still find their way around.

Questions
What should an entrance coaching centre website in Calicut include?
The courses for each exam, the batch timings for each day of the week, the full fees with instalments and the refund rule, and the teachers who take each subject. Parents also look for where students can stay, how progress is reported and how to book a demo class. All of it should be easy to read on a phone.
Should a coaching academy website show toppers and ranks?
India's 2024 guidelines for coaching centres ask academies not to make false claims about ranks or results, and many parents now read rank posters with caution. A clear account of how results are counted, across every enrolled student, is easier to trust. Any student's name or score should appear only with their written permission.
How should a Calicut coaching website handle enquiries from parents in the Gulf?
By making admission possible from abroad. Explain how it works at a distance, such as a video call with the class teacher, documents by email and fees paid online in instalments, and say whether the timetable is in Indian time. Keep the demo class form short, because a parent filling it in from Dubai or Doha will not finish a long application.
