Engineering and contracting, Muscat, since 2001

Roads, harbours and buildings, built where the mountains meet the sea.

Hasik plans and builds civil, building, industrial and marine works across Oman, from the Batinah coast to the Dhofar hills. Our own engineers, our own plant, our own people on site.

01 Sectors

Four kinds of ground. One way of working.

Most of Oman's work happens on rock, sand, wadi or sea. We organise around that, with a sector lead and a standing crew for each.

Schools, clinics, housing and civic buildings in reinforced concrete and steel.

    Scope

    • Structure
    • Envelope
    • MEP coordination
    • Fit-out
    • Handover
  2. An asphalt paver and a roller lay a new road through a benched rock cutting in brown and rust mountains, with a concrete box culvert over a dry wadi in the foreground

Mountain and coastal roads, wadi crossings, box culverts, utilities corridors and drainage.

    Scope

    • Earthworks
    • Rock cutting
    • Pavement
    • Structures
    • Traffic management
  3. A welder in a leather apron and helmet crouches beside a red steel pipe-rack frame in an open fabrication yard, with stacked pipes and steel beams in warm evening light

Pipe racks, steel structures, equipment foundations, tank bases and shutdown support for plants in Sohar and Duqm.

    Scope

    • Civil works
    • Fabrication
    • Erection
    • Maintenance crews
  4. A yellow long-reach excavator places armour rock on a new breakwater beside a small fishing harbour, with two workers in orange coveralls, a deep teal sea and bare brown mountains behind

Breakwaters, fishing harbours, quay walls, outfalls and shore protection.

    Scope

    • Rock armour
    • Precast units
    • Dredging coordination
    • Marine plant

05 People and training

We grow our own site leaders.

Most of our foremen and engineers started with us. The Hasik Site School takes a yearly intake of Omani graduates and technicians into an 18-month rotation across survey, structures, plant and safety, each with a named mentor on site.

Experienced staff from across the region work beside them and teach as they build.

  1. 1An 18-month site rotation
  2. 2A mentor for every trainee
  3. 3Paid courses in lifting, survey and supervision

06 Safety and HSE

Everyone goes home the way they came.

  1. 01

    Stop work, no questions

Anyone on site can stop a task that looks unsafe, and nobody is asked to justify it.

  2. 02

    Toolbox talks every morning

Held before the first task, in the languages the crew speaks.

  3. 03

    A heat plan for summer

We follow the summer midday break and add water, shade and rest rules of our own.

  4. 04

    Lifting plans for every lift

Every crane lift has a signed plan, checked by a second engineer before the hook moves.

  5. 05

    Sea state before marine work

Marine work starts only after a sea state and weather check, with a rescue boat on standby.

  6. 06

    Wadi watch

Flash flood alerts go to every site supervisor's phone during the rain season.
