Delivery and collection

We bring it. We pick it up.

Choose a one-hour slot between 7 am and midnight. A Leyl driver brings the car, walks round it with you, takes timestamped photos of every panel and sends them to you before handing over the key. Collection works the same way in reverse.

What you need to rent.

A

If you live in the UAE

  • Emirates ID, front and back.
  • UAE driving licence.
  • A credit card in the driver's name for the deposit. A debit card is fine on monthly plans.

B

If you are visiting

  • Passport with your visa or entry stamp.
  • Your home driving licence. Visitors from GCC countries and many others, including the UK, most of Europe, the US, Canada and Australia, can drive on their home licence. Others need an International Driving Permit alongside it.
  • A credit card in the driver's name.

C

For everyone

Drivers must be 21 or over and have held a licence for at least a year, or 25 and two years for Luxury. Extra drivers are free, with the same documents.

Deposit and cover

Deposit, cover and what happens if something goes wrong.

The deposit is held on your card as a pre-authorisation, never charged unless there is something to settle. We release it 21 days after the car comes back, because Salik and fines can take that long to reach us. You get the release date in writing at collection.

If there is damage

In the UAE, any damage needs a police report before it can be repaired. Report it on the Dubai Police app or at a station, then send us the report. Without a report the excess applies, whatever cover you chose.

Tolls and fines

Salik and fines, explained before you drive.

  1. Salik tolls

    Every car has a Salik tag. Each time you pass a toll gate, Salik charges the tag at its rate for that hour. We pass on the exact charge plus AED 1 a crossing for handling, and your final invoice lists every gate with the time you passed it.

  2. Abu Dhabi and beyond

    Driving to Abu Dhabi is fine on every plan. Darb tolls are passed on the same way. Taking the car to Oman needs our written permission and an Oman insurance add-on, arranged at least 48 hours ahead.

  3. Fines

    Speed, parking and traffic fines reach us as the registered owner, sometimes weeks later. We pay them and charge the same amount plus AED 30 handling, with the fine reference so you can check it yourself. Where a fine carries black points, they go on the driver's licence file, as UAE law requires.

Worked example

Say your week of school runs and office trips passes 10 toll gates. You pay Salik's charge for each of the 10, plus AED 10 handling. Nothing else.

Can you deliver tonight?

Usually, yes. Book before 9 pm and we can deliver in a slot up to midnight in zones 1 and 2.

Is fuel included?

The car comes with a full tank and goes back full. If it is not full, we charge the fuel at pump price plus AED 20.

Can I pay the deposit in cash?

No. The deposit is a card hold so it can be released without a visit. On monthly plans we accept a debit card.

What if the car breaks down?

Call the number on the key tag. Roadside help comes 24 hours a day, and we bring a replacement within 4 hours in Dubai.

Can someone else drive?

Yes, add them free when you book. They need the same documents.

Can I extend?

Message us before the return time. The new total recalculates at the lower weekly or monthly rate if you cross 7 or 28 days.

Do you rent to drivers under 21?

No. Our insurance covers drivers aged 21 and over.

How do I get my deposit back?

It is a hold, not a charge. It drops off your card 21 days after return, minus any tolls or fines, which we list for you.
